About the Role

ConnectEast is seeking a highly experienced and proactive Senior Project Manager to

oversee the planning coordination, and execution of all IT projects that align with strategic business objectives. Reporting to the Service Deliver Manager,  this pivotal role plays a critical part in strengthening project governance, embedding structured delivery practices, and bringing clarity and consistency to the cross-functional execution of projects across the department.

What You'll Be Doing (but not limited to)

Team & Stakeholder Coordination

• Builds alignment across teams, stakeholders, and vendors through strong collaboration.
• Manages expectations and approvals at key project stages.

Performance Tracking

• Delivers projects on time and budget with detailed plans and timelines.
• Provides regular updates on progress, risks, and technical issues.
• Identifies and mitigates project risks proactively.

Project Documentation & Reporting

• Defines and documents project strategy and approach.
• Ensures governance and reporting meet organisational standards.
• Maintains accurate, authorised project documentation.

Vendor Coordination

• Manages vendor compliance and performance against project requirements.
• Coordinates activities between IT providers, vendors, and stakeholders.

Workforce Planning

• Oversees procurement and resource allocation.
• Optimises delivery capacity and manages dependencies.

Risk Management

• Flags IT-related risks to senior management.
• Minimises financial penalties through early issue detection and corrective action.

The ideal candidate will have

Education

• Bachelor's degree in project management, business, commerce, IT, or related discipline (preferred); or extensive industry-relevant experience.
• Certification in PRINCE2 is mandatory
• Equivalent project management methodology; PMP or Agile certifications are highly regarded

Experience (Must have)

• Extensive experience leading complex, multi-stream IT projects, delivering strategic outcomes on time and budget.
• Skilled in project planning, resource management, and vendor governance.
• Experience" section in the job ad.
• Demonstrated experience deploying Toll systems software or back office CRM and invoicing systems software is a must."
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity, compliance, and enterprise risk frameworks.
• Proficient in ITIL and service management tools, with advanced reporting and documentation skills.
• Effective communicator with senior stakeholders; translates technical concepts clearly.
• Experienced mentor and contributor to PMO and governance frameworks.
