This role is located at our processing site in Casino, NSW and requires daily on-site presence.
Richmond Dairies is a leading Australian-owned dairy processor based in Northern NSW. We specialise in the production of high-quality bulk dairy ingredients supplied to international markets across Asia, the Middle East, and beyond.
We are entering an exciting growth phase and are seeking an experienced Product Development Coordinator to drive innovation and technical excellence across our ingredient's portfolio. This role will focus on developing, improving, and optimising dairy ingredient solutions to meet the evolving needs of export customers and international regulatory standards.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead product development projects across dairy powders, dairy protein concentrates, frozen dairy products and other dairy ingredient categories.
- Manage the technical pipeline from concept through scale-up and commercialisation.
- Ensure all new products comply with international food safety, quality, and export regulations.
- Conduct product testing, formulation adjustments, nutritional analysis, and performance evaluations.
- Work closely with Production, Quality Assurance, Sales, and Export teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
- Maintain strong awareness of global dairy market trends and customer specifications.
- Optimise processes to improve yield, consistency, and product performance in line with customer requirements.
What You'll Bring
- A degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or Dairy Science (or related discipline).
- 3–5+ years of experience in dairy or food ingredient product development, ideally within a manufacturing/export environment.
- Knowledge of dairy processing, formulation, and quality systems.
- Strong understanding of export compliance and international customer requirements.
- Ability to translate technical capabilities into commercial solutions for overseas markets.
- Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work across multiple teams.
