It takes a special person to be a Care Worker and help the older members of our community to maintain their independence and wellbeing. We are looking for just that person with 3 months or more experience in a similar role to join the Silverchain team in the Narellan 2567 area.

What we're looking for
We are looking for people who:
- Enjoy having variety in their day.
- Are passionate about providing an excellent service.
Can build positive relationships with clients and their families.
Don't sweat the small stuff. Sometimes your client will be having a bad day or traffic delays you, but you know not to take this personally and can shake it off before your next client.
- Are comfortable working independently and finding solutions to everyday problems, knowing when to ask your manager for help.
In addition, you will need:
- An Open Class Australian Driver's Licence & your own insured, roadworthy vehicle.
- Experience of 3 months or more in a similar role
The role
In the role of Home Care Worker, you will be providing our aged care clients with home help services such as:
- General housekeeping and making beds.
- Cleaning, mopping and vacuuming floors.
- Washing, folding and ironing laundry.
- Meal preparation and grocery shopping.
You will also be providing our aged care clients with personal care services such as:
- Getting clients out of bed, showered and dressed for the day.
Assisting with mobility and therapy goals.
Providing complex care for customers with high care needs, such as dementia.
- Providing social and emotional support.
- Providing the client with transport to lifestyle activities or appointments.
- Helping the family carer to have a break or an opportunity to do other things.
