At Shangri-La The Marina, Cairns we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Handyperson - Painter to join our team of dedicated individuals within our Engineering Department.

The Hotel

Shangri-La The Marina, Cairns is a luxury five-star hotel located beside Marlin Marina and Trinity Inlet in the heart of Cairns. With 255 guest rooms, 19 function venues and extensive food-and-beverage facilities, the property is part of a leading international company with more than 100 hotels and resorts worldwide.

The Role

As a Handyperson - Painter, your main responsibilities and duties will include minor general repairs around the hotel and The Pier.

About you:

To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

• Proven experience within a role specific to maintenance and painting
• Previous experience working in a hotel environment is desired however, all experience will be considered.
• Ability to maintains and repair hotel facilities
• Exceptional presentation and interpersonal abilities.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work shifts & long hours. This position requires someone flexible who can do shift work, including work on weekends.
