Support Officer

The Support Officer provides efficient and confidential administrative support to the Business Support Officer and the regional office. The role is required to respond to enquiries from internal and external clients, undertake records management duties, provide support with financial and human resource processing activities, and assist management with strategic and operational planning and implementation of processes, to ensure the effective operation of the region.
This 12-month opportunity would be perfect for someone seeking to start a career in Human Resources or to take the next step in their administration career.
We are seeking applicants who, within the context of the role responsibilities, possess the following key attributes:
- Detailed knowledge, understanding and experience in the delivery of professional administrative services including financial and human resource management processes.
- Demonstrated high level attention to detail and the ability to plan and prioritise tasks to achieve required outcomes and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated well developed communication, negotiation, consultation and collaboration skills and the ability to build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- A highly motivated, energetic and proactive approach to work and a proven commitment to the provision of high-quality customer service.
- Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Demonstrated commitment to implement practices which promote a fair and ethical workplace, employment equity, cultural diversity and occupational health and safety.
- The incumbent may be required to travel on official business and the possession of a C class driver's licence may be required.
