Apprentice - Air Conditioning

About the Company

We are based in Caringbah and have been operating in the Sutherland Shire for over 30 years.

We specialise in the maintenance and repairs of air-conditioning systems and mechanical services.  We also have a Sales and Installation team that specialises in the installation of air-conditioning systems in light commercial and domestic applications.

As part of our team, you would:

• Be trained primarily in the maintenance and repairs of air-conditioning systems and mechanical services, along with opportunities of training in air-conditioning installations.
• Gain experience working in a variety of situations; domestic, commercial and project jobs
• Become a valued member of our team, learning from our wide ranging experience gained over 30 years in the air conditioning business and contributing to its ongoing success

Job tasks and responsibilities

• Assist tradesmen and learn skills in varied environments to repair, service and install air conditioning systems
• Attend TAFE on a weekly basis
• Attend apprentice training days
• Be committed to the apprenticeship training program to develop the necessary skills to become a highly skilled and successful tradesman

Requirements

To be a successful candidate for this role, you need to:

• have completed your secondary education to a minimum of Year 10
• have a genuine interest in the field of air-conditioning
• commit to the TAFE component of the course that encompasses a 3 year period
• be honest, reliable and punctual
• have a willingness to learn and the ability to work in a team environment
• be motivated and hard working
• be well presented with good communication skills

Job Details

• This is a full time position, generally Monday to Friday with some weekend work
• This position could suit 2nd or 3rd year apprentices looking to change from their current employer
