We are looking to fill multiple full-time Court and Custody Officer positions across Regional Western Australia. With locations ranging from Broome to Kalgoorlie, this is a fantastic opportunity to build a rewarding career while remaining in your local community.

You will take part in a paid 6-week training program in Perth, where you will be fully supported with flights, accommodation, and a meal allowance. During this time, you will begin working towards your Certificate III in Correctional Practices, providing you with the skills, knowledge, and nationally recognised qualification needed to succeed in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport and supervise detainees
  • Participate in court proceedings
  • Manage conflicts effectively with empathy and communication
  • Maintain a safe environment for detainees, staff, and the public
  • Conduct walking and mobile patrols
  • Oversee detainee movements and escort them to appointments and court, keeping accurate records

Requirements:

  • No prior experience required – all necessary training is provided
  • Must be an Australian or New Zealand Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Availability to attend a paid 6-week training program in Perth
  • Commitment to the role for 12 months to complete qualifications

  • You must live in one of the listed regional locations (this is not a FIFO role)
