OVERVIEW:

The Court Breakfast Program (CBP) is a food relief program that provides no-cost nutritional

breakfast food for children and their families who need to engage with court staff and judicial processes. HI delivers this program in partnership with the Perth Children's Court (PCC) and a team of volunteers from Court Welfare Services Inc (CWS).

The Project Lead – CBP will be responsible for overseeing the weekly operating rhythm of this project, complete food logistics (ordering, pickup and delivery) and the collection and data input of impact and outcome feedback which are completed by the Court Breakfast Program Officer. There will also be scope in this role to take on additional responsibilities and assist the Chief of Operations and Program Coordinator in continuous improvement and expansion initiatives within the Court Breakfast Program and in wider organisational projects.

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Liaise with the Perth Children's Court as a HI representative for this project
  • C
    oordinate the weekly food ordering, deliveries and stock take of food support resources
  • Coordinate staff feedback
  • Assessment of project outcomes including qualitative and quantitative data and assessment of feedback from project participants
  • Manage cost and consumption data sheet
  • Monitor project budget within the secured funding commitment
  • Provide additional support as required
  • Deliver updates to the Program Coordinator and HI Operations Team on project progression

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Qualifications:

  • No specific qualifications required
  • Qualifications or ongoing study relevant to youth justice or youth work will be viewed positively
  • A valid Working with Children Check will be required

Experience:

  • No experience required
  • Experience working in youth justice or other youth work will be viewed positively
  • Experience in not-for-profit or startup management will be viewed positively

Necessary Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High levels of adaptability to work in a fast moving start up
  • High levels of cultural sensitivity
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills
