About the role

Mandurah Legal is seeking an experienced Family Lawyer to join our dynamic legal team in Mandurah, Western Australia. This role can be full-time or part-time with flexibility and a fantastic work-life balance.

What you'll be doing

  • Providing high-quality legal advice and representation to clients on a range of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, property settlements and domestic violence issues
  • Drafting and reviewing legal documents such as financial agreements, consent orders and court applications
  • Negotiating settlements and representing clients in court proceedings
  • Managing a diverse caseload and ensuring timely and effective communication with clients
  • Collaborating with the wider legal team to share knowledge and best practices
  • Staying up-to-date with changes in family law legislation and case law

What we're looking for

  • 2+ years' post-admission experience (PAE) in family law, preferably gained in a law firm or community legal centre
  • Excellent legal research, drafting and advocacy skills
  • Demonstrated ability to provide clear and compassionate advice to clients navigating complex family law issues
  • Strong time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise a varied workload
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach
  • Admission to practice law in Western Australia and a valid practising certificate
