MME Underground Services specialises in the installation of underground infrastructure by trenchless technologies and civil construction methods.

We are delivering projects in the Perth metropolitan area on the Network Renewal of Underground Power Project for Western Power and we are currently looking for experienced Cable Layers who will be part of a long-term project.

We are seeking Cable Layerswho will be responsible for pulling the cable off the cable truck and laying it into the trenches at our project job sites across Perth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cable Laying for underground electrical services
  • Excavate trenches manually or using machinery
  • General labouring duties
  • Reading and understanding Dial Before You Dig information
  • Ability to follow safe work procedures and adhere to site requirements
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Demonstrate good communication and basic problem-solving skills

Minimum requirements:

  • Current Driver's License (HR licence an advantage)
  • Previous experience as a cable layer / labourer in a similar utilities role
  • Physically fit and comfortable with outdoor work in all weather conditions
  • Construction Induction (White Card)
  • Ability to read and interpret site plans & DBYD drawings
  • Cable laying certificate - preferred but training can be provided
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical including drug & alcohol test
