Casual Mental Health / Disability Support Worker – South Ripley (SIL)

We're seeking an experienced Mental Health / Disability Support Worker to join our team on a casual basis, supporting a client in a Supported Independent Living (SIL) home in South Ripley.

This is a specialised role, ideal for someone with experience in PBSP, restrictive practices, and epilepsy management. You'll be working with a client whose interests include Marvel, Anime, and computer gaming, and supporting them with daily living skills, general well-being, and household tasks.

What you'll do:

  • Support the client with cooking, cleaning, and general well-being
  • Implement PBSP and restrictive practices as required
  • Manage epilepsy and other health needs
  • Work across both the client's home and family home
  • Document progress notes and report any concerns

Shifts (Ongoing Casual Roster):

Week 1

  • Thursday: 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM, plus sleepover until 6:00 AM Friday

Week 2

  • Thursday: 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM, plus sleepover
  • Saturday: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
  • Sunday: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Pay Rates (SCHADS Award E3.1 – Casual, In-Home and SIL):

  • Base hourly rate: $35.15
  • Afternoon/evening shift (Mon–Fri, ends 8 PM–midnight): $38.67
  • Active night shift / sleepover: $39.37
  • Saturday: $49.21
  • Sunday: $63.27
  • Public holiday: $77.33

  • Experience in Mental Health / Disability support
  • Knowledge of PBSP, restrictive practices, and epilepsy management
  • Reliable, professional, and compassionate
  • Non-smoker and clear communication skills
