About the role

We are seeking a first or second year Electrical Apprentice/Trainee in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne.  At Visium Networks you will have the opportunity to learn on the go and work closely with a team of experienced technicians/Engineers.

Installation and maintenance of electronic security systems Alarms, CCTV, Access Control, Intercoms, (onsite) and electrical installations of outdoor LED signage

What you will gain is an understanding of the relationship between the CCTV systems, access controls data bases, as well as cabling and networking sites.

Skills and experience

  • Current (Valid) Drivers Licence
  • Work Cover WH&S (White Card)
  • Security Licence an advantage, candidate should have the ability to obtain a security licence
  • Good customer service and effective communication skills
  • Be self-motivated, well-presented, and keen to learn
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of basic electrical principles/Computer/Networking an advantage
