Regis Resources is an ASX 200-listed Perth based gold production and exploration company with a proven management team and a successful track record of developing mid-sized gold operations. Regis is a purely Australian gold miner with significant open pit and underground operations, which includes the 100% owned Duketon Gold Project and a 30% ownership of the Tropicana Gold Project, both in Western Australia. The current mine site locations are in the Northeastern Goldfields of WA, with multiple mining operations both open pit and underground. Job Description
The opportunity
We are currently looking for an experienced
Lubrication Technician
(Fixed Plant) to join the team at our Duketon operation. Reporting to the Mechanical Supervisor the successful candidate will be responsible for safely and effectively carry out planned and unplanned maintenance activities in a fixed plant environment.
This is a FIFO role (8:6 roster) from Perth.
The Main Responsibilities Of This Role Include
- Inspecting the workplace for hazards and promoting safe work practices
- Safely and effectively delivering execution of planned & unplanned maintenance activities including lubrication, visual inspections, vibration/oil analysis, thermography and data gathering on fixed plant assets
- Assist execution team with overhauls including precision requirements, bearing installations, alignment of rotating parts etc.
- Accurate information documentation on preventative maintenance and work orders ensuring that all tasks, equipment, consumables and further requirements are documented and returned to planning department
- Referring unresolved issues and problems to the reliability supervisor or equivalent
- Regular stocktakes and audits on hydrocarbon levels and storage
- Ensure compliant disposal of waste hydrocarbon and associated items
About You
Desired Skills and Experience
To Be Successful For This Role, You Will Have
- Trade qualification preferred
- SKF bearing trained - or equivalent (highly regarded)
- Shaft alignment trained (highly regarded)
- Relevant tickets such as Forklift, Working at Heights, Confined Space Entry, EWP & Crane/Dogging/Rigging preferred
- WA 'C' Class drivers licence (must be manual)
- Demonstrated experience in the mining or heavy industry within a process plant environment
- Understanding of generic process plant policies and procedures
- Knowledge and experience with maintenance management systems
- Proven understanding of risk assessment and management systems
