About The Role
Based in Whyalla, you will be reporting to the Engineering Services Superintendent and improving OneSteel Manufacturing equipment reliability by providing Condition Monitoring services through the Engineering Services team.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Provide technical support to individual plant areas including vibration monitoring and analysis, machine balancing, thermography and any other tools, to measure and predict asset condition
  • Assist in troubleshooting and fault finding as required in individual plant areas
  • Provide recommendations to maintenance personnel to maximise equipment life and minimise life cycle cost
  • Analyse and report on asset conditions in a timely fashion based on quality routine and adhoc test results
  • Adhere to work management compliance standards to ensure condition monitoring tests, analysis and reports are completed on time in accordance with asset criticality and plant availability
  • Ensure and maintain a high standard in customer service and communication to individual plants
  • Ensure incident / accident reporting and investigation is undertaken

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering
  • Trained in Condition Monitoring techniques. VCAT 1 (prerequisite). VCAT 2, IRT CAT 1 (desirable)
  • 3 - 5 years of condition monitoring/reliability experience in heavy industrial manufacturing businesses
  • Competent in condition monitoring test equipment and analysis software applications.
  • Good hands-on experience in SAP and MS Office including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel
  • Demonstrates experience in maintenance management of manufacturing assets
  • Self-motivated, shows initiative, manages competing priorities, meets deadlines, resourceful
