As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled and dedicated Painter to join our team.

Responsibilities:

Applies paint, varnish, wallpaper and other finishes to protect, maintain and decorate surfaces of buildings and structures

Duties:

  • Surface Preparation: Preparing metal surfaces for painting through sandblasting and other methods to remove rust, dirt, and old paint.
  • Painting: Applying coatings and paint to various surfaces using spray guns, brushes, and rollers.
  • Equipment Operation: Operating various equipment, including blast pots and spray guns.
  • Reading Specifications: Reading and interpreting paint specifications and manufacturer application instructions.
  • Safety: Ensuring all safety standards are maintained throughout each job.

Qualifications:

  • AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training
  • AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3)

Experience:

  • At least 3 years of experience
  • Experience in industrial painting and sandblasting

Skills and Attributes:

  • Knowledge of different painting techniques and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret paint specifications.
  • A strong work ethic and attention to details.
