Grange Growing Solutions is a family owned company specialising in the manufacture of potting mix for supply into the Nursery and Garden Industry both in commercial and retail sectors.

We are seeking an experienced individual who is mechanically minded with a keen eye for detail to run our automated packaging line.

Duties include:

  • Machine start up safety pre checks and multiple production runs each shift.
  • Forklift operation.
  • Front end Loader operation, training provided.
  • Clean down and maintenance including servicing of Line and machinery
  • Monitoring of full line including palletiser and hooding machine.
  • Record keeping - quality control, machine maintenance checks and sign off, daily production schedules, trouble shooting, batch control.
  • Reporting to Operations Manager
  • Ability to meet production schedule and output targets in a fast paced environment in peak season.

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Forklift Licence essential( You will not be considered if you do not have a forklift licence)
  • Front end loader experience preferred
  • Follow all safety and quality procedures
  • Must be able to work proactively in a team environment with minimal supervision and show forward planning abilities.
  • Sound literacy and mathematical skills to follow, record, process information/data and complete work instructions.
  • Control documentation for each and every production run.
  • Mechanically minded.
  • Physically fit and able to work in a hands on role
  • Keen attention to maintenance of equipment on a daily and weekly basis
  • Must be flexible to work in other areas of the business
  • Monday to Friday work with some Saturday work as required.
  • Own Transport (no public transport available)
