THE OPPORTUNITY

Reporting to the General Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in managing the safe and efficient operation of our workshop and service department. This is your chance to combine technical expertise with people leadership, working with specialists in Power Generation Manufacturing, Installation, Repairs, and Maintenance.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

· Supervising and directing the Workshop/Service Team on a day-to-day basis

· Managing and scheduling resources for workshop and field service operations

· Collaborating with Sales, Production and Purchasing teams to deliver seamless service

· Leading, mentoring, and developing your team to reach their full potential

· Overseeing job control, costing, labour forecasting, and service scheduling

· Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders

· Preparing competitive quotes and tenders to generate new service opportunities

· Ensuring all work is completed within budget and to exceptional quality standards

· Maintaining OHS compliance and keeping all team certifications current

· Undertaking field service work as required

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

Essential:

· Trade Qualified Electrician with current QLD Electrical Licence

· Proven experience managing workshop/service technicians

· Highly organised with strong service management capabilities

· Professional, approachable leadership style with ability to mentor and motivate

· Excellent communication skills and computer literacy

· Calm under pressure with strong deadline management

· Honest, reliable, and committed to excellence

· Alignment with our core values

· Unrestricted permanent work rights in Australia

Highly Desirable:

· Experience in the power generation industry

· Current Forklift License

· SIMPRO software experience
