The Pricing Analyst sits within the Commercial and Consumer Markets function and supports both Customer and Commercial Insurance. As a Pricing Analyst, you will play a key role in improving product profitability and ensuring strong financial oversight across our insurance portfolios. 

What you'll do

• Work with a Senior Pricing Advisor or Data Scientist to develop, recommend and implement pricing solutions that meet financial and non-financial objectives.
• Use your strong understanding of insurance data assets to extract, manipulate and analyse data for business needs.
• Develop processes and tools that identify business opportunities by monitoring market conditions and performance against Budget and P and L.
• Interpret large data sets to identify emerging trends and produce clear, insightful reporting that tracks portfolio performance and drives continuous improvement.
• Identify, investigate and introduce new data sources to enhance reporting suites.
• Champion innovation by improving current processes and automating where possible.
• Provide pricing and analytical advice to internal stakeholders, including responding to ad hoc queries and translating technical insights into practical business recommendations.
• Follow compliance processes and standards
• Take ownership or your development plan and ongoing professional learning

What you'll bring

• Mandatory -Bachelor's degree in data science, Actuarial Studies, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, Econometrics, Computer Science or a related field.
• Relevant postgraduate qualifications are desirable.
• Membership of a relevant professional body is desirable.
• Experience in general insurance analytics or pricing is valued but not essential.
• Experience with SAS, R, Python, or SQL is highly regarded.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, project-based team environment.
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills.
• A curious mindset and a willingness to innovate and improve how things are done.
