About the Team:

Our Audit team are dynamic, hands-on and committed to giving a first-class service to our clients. We will provide a challenging and encouraging environment, with exposure to a diverse cross-section of businesses.

Role purpose:

Reporting to Partners and the senior audit team, your role will have responsibilities that vary depending on the size and type of client.

Responsibilities:

Typical job duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Preparation of audit plans after assessing audit risks;
  • Preparation of audit programmes in response to identified risks;
  • Completion of audits in accordance with applicable auditing standards;
  • Willingness to work under pressure to meet clients and regulatory deadlines;
  • Preparation of financial reports including consolidated financial reports in accordance with applicable accounting standards;
  • Research on accounting and audit matters and preparation of relevant advice to Clients and to the Partners; and
  • Maintain and enhance the relationship with key client management personnel.

Types of audits carried out will include: Listed Company audits, audits of large corporations, other audits carried out under Corporations Act including the audits of Australian Financial Services Licences, audits of Real Estate Trust Accounts, audits of Solicitors' Trust Accounts, audits of Superannuation Funds and other Compliance audits.

About you:

  • High level of attention to detail and critical thinking;
  • Time management and organisational skills;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; and
  • Willingness to travel.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Intermediate computer software skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other financial accounting packages;
  • Degree qualified or close to completion; and
  • Willingness to undertake the CAANZ (Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand) professional qualification.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience, ideally within a public practice or corporate environment.
