About the Role

Are you a passionate, and ready to make an impact in the world of workwear? We're looking for a Design Assistant to support our Head of Design in delivering innovative, functional, and compliant garments that help keep workers safe - without compromising on style or comfort.

What you'll be doing

You'll work closely with the Head of Design across multiple brands of the product development process - from concept to production - playing a key role in bringing our workwear ranges to life.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the creation of technical drawings and tech packs
  • Assisting in all aspects of product development, including being involved in fittings, and updating the changes in the tech packs
  • Researching trends, fabrics, and innovations in functional design
  • Coordinating and maintaining consistency and accuracy of information flow between design, development, and the factories.
  • Creating and maintaining the trims and artwork libraries
  • Ensuring design details are aligned with relevant safety standards
  • Prepare concept boards, competitors' board, and design packs for presentation when required
  • Providing day-to-day administrative and design support to the wider team

What you'll bring

To thrive in this role, you'll need:

  • A tertiary qualification in Fashion Design, Design Technology, or related discipline
  • Working knowledge of fits, fabrics, trims, and manufacturing processes
  • An understanding of QA systems, pattern-making basics, and compliance standards will be highly regarded
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and InDesign and solid computer skills
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and time management abilities
  • A positive, solutions-focused attitude and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
