Resource Services Group X (RSGx) is seeking a skilled Heavy Vehicle Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance operations from our Henderson workshop, while providing remote support to two FIFO mechanics in the Pilbara. This is a hands-on leadership role with occasional site travel, ideal for someone who thrives on solving mechanical challenges and coordinating fleet performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Minimise unplanned downtime and maximise machine hours through scheduled maintenance planning
  • Oversee preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs of light/heavy equipment and mobile plant
  • Liaise with project departments to coordinate equipment availability and reduce downtime
  • Ensure accurate documentation of all maintenance activities in the site's maintenance system
  • Provide diagnostics and technical support to onsite team, troubleshooting complex mechanical issues
  • Conduct minespec inspections to meet site compliance for vehicles and mobile plant
  • Plan and coordinate daily/weekly mobile maintenance activities, resolving technical/logistical challenges
  • Collaborate with the wider maintenance team to optimise fleet performance
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on Assets & Logistics Fleet
  • Ensure roadworthy compliance before releasing equipment to projects
  • Deliver maintenance solutions and support across operations
  • Manage timely and cost-effective ordering of parts and consumables
  • Liaise with internal/external stakeholders regarding machine performance, safety, and service coordination
  • Conduct thorough safety inspections and compliance checks

Key Requirements:

  • Australian-recognised trade qualification (Heavy Duty Diesel Fitter / Mechanic essential)
  • Mechanical trade background with mobile plant experience
  • 3+ years in a supervisory or leading hand role in heavy-duty maintenance
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • In-depth knowledge of plant equipment, maintenance systems, and safety standards
  • Hands-on approach with excellent problem-solving ability
  • Current HR class license (minimum)
  • Experience in heavy road transport service and repair
  • Proven workshop or service management experience, ideally in heavy vehicles
