Client Manager

We're on the lookout for a
proactive and experienced Tax/Management Accountant - Client Manager
to join our Gild Accounting team. If you're passionate about delivering great service, love working directly with clients, and thrive in a collaborative, flexible environment, we want to hear from you.

This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a role where you'll manage your own portfolio, build lasting client relationships, and provide end-to-end accounting and tax support across a diverse client base.

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting and CPA or CA qualified
  • 10 years of relevant experience within Australian Public Practice
  • Confident managing your own client portfolio independently
  • Solid business acumen with a knack for creative problem solving
  • Highly organised and comfortable managing competing priorities
  • Self-motivated with a continuous learning mindset
  • Strong communicator with excellent relationship-building skills
  • Tech-savvy and adaptable to new systems
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting software (Xero & FYI docs experience preferred)

The Role

As a
Tax/Management Accountant - Client Manager
, you will take full ownership of your client portfolio and deliver a wide range of tax and accounting services. Working closely with the Partner and broader team, you'll play a key role in ensuring clients receive timely, high-quality support and advice.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing your own client portfolio end-to-end
  • Preparing annual financial statements and income tax returns
  • Conducting tax planning and forecasting
  • Advising clients on business structuring, tax, and accounting issues
  • Building strong, long-term relationships with clients and acting as their go-to advisor
  • Maintaining compliance and ensuring deadlines are met

This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys autonomy, accountability, and the opportunity to grow within a dynamic and supportive team.
