Qualifications and skills: -

Minimum 3 years' experience in a management accounting role

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or appropriate professional accreditation
  • Advanced XERO Software skills
  • Advanced knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll
  • Attention to detail
  • Knowledge of relevant tax legislation
  • Organisational and time management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to use the company's customised software.

Responsibilities: -

  • Monthly management account preparation
  • Conduct regular reviews of the cost allocation process to facilitate disbursement of overheads across programs/projects
  • Help the business choose and manage company investments, risk management, budgeting, planning, strategizing, and decision making.
  • Manage the company's overall maintenance of the books of account
  • Manage the accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll
  • providing financial and taxation advice on business structures, plans and operations including merger/ acquisitions
  • Help the business to grow by improving its systems and procedures
  • Prepare the financial reports for the Board of directors, management, and Government bodies.
  • Manage bank guarantees and provide recommendations regarding customer credit terms
  • Manage EOM and EOFY accounting processes and prepare relevant reports
  • Maintain the fixed asset register
  • Liaise with external auditors as required
  • Assist the accountant with the creation and review of financial policies and procedures
  • Prepare budgets and report ongoing variances
  • Maintain internal control systems
  • Create and update records and databases with personnel, financial and other data
