Join the NSW Department of Education as a Senior Learning Designer (Clerk Grade 9/10)
We are excited to announce openings for Senior Learning Designer within our Curriculum directorate.
• Location: Parramatta, with some access to various NSW Education offices and flexible working arrangements available
• Salary: Clerk Grade 9/10 with base salary ranging from $129,464 to $142,665 per annum, plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
• 3 x Temporary full-time opportunity up to four (4) years, with possibility for extension or conversion to ongoing

About the Curriculum directorate
The Curriculum directorate is responsible for supporting the implementation of policies and design of high-quality evidence-based resources and tools to support curriculum implementation across P-12. We coordinate special programs, and we lead the department's response to the NSW Curriculum Reform.
About the role
The Senior Learning Designer is responsible for designing and developing innovative, online learning resources to support the Curriculum directorate. The role requires expertise in the design and delivery of online learning resources that may be published in a variety of formats across multiple learning channels.

About you
You are an experienced and innovative learning designer with a strong background in developing high-quality, accessible online learning resources using contemporary instructional design methodologies and authoring tools. With a deep understanding of diverse learning needs and styles, you work collaboratively with subject matter experts and stakeholders to create engaging content that aligns with departmental standards and objectives. You thrive in fast-paced environments, effectively balancing multiple priorities and delivering projects within tight timeframes. Your excellent communication skills, adaptability, and commitment to learner-centred design make you a trusted contributor to impactful educational initiatives.
Key knowledge and experience:
• Expertise in online authoring tools and other relevant learning design applications.
• High-level written and oral communication and interpersonal skills to engage with a variety of stakeholders.
• Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
Essential requirements:
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, other relevant qualifications, or equivalent industry experience.
• Hold a current and valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) for paid employment (or willing to acquire one)
• Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education
