Fulltime Bricklayer Required

One full time Bricklayer is required at Dhillon Construction Pty Ltd

Key Responsibilities:

Our full-time position requires you to work across a range of bricklaying projects, covering residential, commercial and industrial, to carry out all general bricklaying duties such as cutting, repairing, laying and fitting bricks to build structures. Your jobs duties will include but not limited to:

  • Studying plans and specifications to determine materials required, dimensions and installation procedures.
  • Erecting and dismantling restricted height scaffolding.
  • Sealing foundations with damp-resistant materials and spreading layers of mortar to serve as base and binder for blocks using trowels.
  • Laying bricks in rows, designs and shapes, and spreading mortar between joints.
  • Embedding blocks in mortar and removing excess mortar.
  • Checking vertical and horizontal alignment.
  • Cutting, shaping and polishing stones and bricks using machines and hand tools, and shaping bricks to fit irregular spaces.
  • Repairing and maintaining bricks, cement blocks and related structures.
  • Resigning and cutting monumental masonry and lettering.
  • Constructing walls using stone slabs and large masonry slab blocks.

An ideal candidate must be:

  • Physically fit
  • Having knowledge of building and construction.
  • Able to work at heights and outdoors
  • Flexible and open to change
  • Having Good hand-eye coordination

Experience Required: At least 1 year of experience.

GOOD SALARY PACKAGE (80,000 + Super)
