The Position
Lead strategic marketing and brand stewardship in this hands-on and customer-centric senior marketing leadership opportunity.
Reporting directly to the Chief Customer Officer and forming part of the Senior Leadership Team, the General Manager Marketing is responsible for taking a strategic and enterprise-wide approach to our client's marketing, brand and communications.
Operating in a highly sensitive, diverse and complex service environment, the role aims to clearly articulate the brand and value proposition across all audiences and through appropriately defined channels, educate the community, and empower informed decision making earlier in the purchase lifecycle via enhanced digital experiences.
The role requires an enterprise-wide perspective and the ability to work independently at both a strategic and operational execution level, driving proactive initiatives aligned to organisational strategic priorities.
Our client is looking for:
- A relevant tertiary qualification and a minimum of 5 years prior experience in a relevant senior role
- Experience in a senior role in Marketing managing an organisational brand with a strong focus on customer experience and market alignment
- Proven experience in digital marketing and leveraging online channels to achieve a strategic objective
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience developing Board quality reports and reporting to a Board
- Previous experience reporting to an Executive level
- Demonstrated experience managing and reporting on budgets
- Experience in the leadership of people
