Tutoring Year 5 to Year 10 students in English and Mathematics.

  • This position involves teaching a group of students subject content (Mathematics and English), answering their questions and assisting them with homework/assignments.

Studywise Learning Centre provides comprehensive tutoring in various subjects for all year levels. We specialise in scholarship and Selective School Entry preparation.

We are now hiring and are on the lookout for exemplary young people to join our team. Since establishing in 2012, Studywise Learning Centre has helped hundreds of students in our community excel in their studies.

  • Casual/part-time English and Mathematics tutor/teacher position available in Cranbourne West (near railway station), Victoria and Clyde North Victoria.
  • You must be available to teach classes weekly on Saturdays, and some evenings on weekdays.

About the Role:

You will be tutoring small groups of Year 5 to Year 10 students in English and/or Mathematics.

This includes:

  • Teaching key subject content
  • Supporting students with classwork and homework
  • Providing constructive feedback
  • Marking students' work
  • Using provided materials and training to guide sessions

All tutors are supported and supervised, with resources and training supplied.

Who we are looking for:

To be considered for this position applicants must:

  • Applicants must have completed VCE/Year 12 in Australia. (please do not apply for the job if you have not)
  • Have a strong desire to help students and have an interest in education.
  • Demonstrate a strong competency in the subjects you are teaching.
  • Current Children Check or VIT Registration is preferred, but not essential.
  • You are to have/apply for Australian Business Number (ABN).
  • Please mention your VCE study scores for English and Mathematics in your cover letter or resume.
  • Work experience, with some other form of demonstrated leadership or team work is not mandatory, but preferable.
  • Have strong communication skills, and work well as a team.
