Be Part of Something Bigger Than a Job
What if going to work meant more than ticking tasks off a list? What if every conversation gave you the chance to shape a culture, support a leader, and help someone feel proud of their contribution?
At Southern Cross Care (NSW & ACT), that's exactly what you'll find. We're not just an aged care provider, we are a community of over 2,500 employees and volunteers who believe in exceptional care, beautiful moments, and purposeful work that truly makes a difference.
When you join us, you're not just joining an organisation, you are stepping into a career that matters, with people who show up every day with heart, skill, and the shared belief that every person deserves dignity, respect, and joy, right through to life's final chapters.
We call it care that counts, and you could be part of it too.
Why We Value This Role
Our People and Culture Business Partners are strategic connectors between our people and the direction we are driving as a values-led, purpose-driven aged care provider.
This role ensures that our leadership vision translates meaningfully into everyday actions, behaviours, and decisions across Residential Aged Care, Home Care, Retirement Living, and our Support Office teams. You will be a trusted advisor and coach to our leaders, helping them lead with HEART, manage effectively, and create exceptional employee experiences.
Whether guiding leaders through complex people matters, embedding initiatives, or supporting continuous improvement, this role is key to fostering a culture where people feel seen, supported, and proud of their contribution.
How You Will Make a Difference
You will work across our sites and services, partnering with leaders in Residential Aged Care, Home Care, Retirement Living, and our Support Office. Your impact will be felt in every corner of the organisation, helping leaders grow, strengthening culture, and improving employee experience.
You will be part of a team that supports those delivering critical services to older Australians, ensuring they have the tools, confidence, and support to lead with HEART and make a difference every day.
How You Will Contribute
You will coach leaders with confidence and care: You will support managers through performance conversations, change processes, and culture-building moments, helping them lead with empathy and clarity.
You will bring strategy to life in local teams: You will translate People and Culture initiatives into practical actions that reflect the needs and priorities of each team and location.
You will help shape a culture that people want to be part of: You will support programs that improve engagement, wellbeing, and inclusion, ensuring every team member feels valued and supported.
You will guide leaders through complexity with compassion: You will help managers navigate industrial frameworks and employee matters with fairness, compliance, and a values-aligned approach.
You will grow leadership capability across the organisation: You will identify gaps, deliver training, and empower leaders to build strong, inclusive teams that thrive.
About You
You are a values-led professional who brings both heart and head to your work. You know that great leadership starts with trust, and you are passionate about helping others grow in confidence and capability. You are comfortable navigating complexity, and you bring clarity, empathy, and courage to every conversation.
You are collaborative by nature, proactive in your approach, and driven by a deep belief that people thrive when they feel seen, supported, and proud of their contribution. Whether you are coaching a manager through a challenging moment or shaping a strategy that strengthens culture, you show up with purpose and care.
You understand the frameworks, including Awards, Enterprise Agreements, and Fair Work legislation, but you also understand people. You know how to balance compliance with compassion, and you are ready to make a meaningful impact across diverse teams and settings.
What's in it for you?
Recognition and Reward: Our HeartHQ platform offers access to discounts across hundreds of retailers, reward and recognition programs, financial awards, and peer-to-peer shout-outs to celebrate team successes.
Wellbeing Support: Access to our Employee Assistance Program, wellbeing initiatives, Fitness Passport membership, discounted Private Health Insurance, and CBA Workplace Banking.
