Operations Coordinator – Prominent Hill

Symons Clark Logistics is a 150-year-old, family owned, Port Adelaide based transport and logistics company. Our experience brings with it premium wharf cartage and container transport services, with a focus on providing customers with complete logistics solutions including warehousing, container pack/unpack, distribution, over-dimensional, heavy haulage, project logistics and Australia wide bulk haulage.
Due to continued growth, Symons Clark Logistics is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Operations Coordinator to support our Regional Mining Operations Team at Prominent Hill.
This key support role provides administrative and operational assistance to ensure the smooth coordination of daily site activities. Working closely with the Site Supervisor, drivers, and head office teams, you'll play a vital part in maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance, and keeping communication flowing across all areas of the operation.
This position operates on a 8 days on / 6 days off roster, with Fly-In Fly-Out (FIFO) or Drive-In Drive-Out (DIDO) options available depending on your location. Accommodation and meals are provided while on site.
What you will be doing…
- Providing day-to-day administrative and coordination support to the site operations team.
- Assisting with scheduling, driver documentation, and daily reporting requirements.
- Entering and maintaining accurate data in operational systems and spreadsheets.
- Supporting compliance activities, including pre-start checks and record-keeping.
- Preparing and distributing daily reports on truck movements, loading, and stock levels.
- Liaising with head office and client representatives to ensure information is up to date.
- Monitoring site communications and escalating issues when required.
- Assisting with incident documentation and Health, Safety, Environment and Community (HSEC) reporting.
- Supporting roster and leave tracking for site-based personnel.
Do you have…
- Strong administrative or coordination experience, ideally within transport, logistics, or mining operations.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively in a small, fast-paced site environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- A strong focus on safety and compliance.

- Successful applicants will be required to complete a Pre-Employment Medical, Drug and Alcohol Screening, and Police Check.
