Operations Manager

Reporting to our Chief Operating Officer, this role will be our key interface with clients and lead our Projects team and business unit.

The Operations Manager – Projects is responsible for leading the identification & estimating, planning, execution, and delivery of multiple projects across WA. This senior leadership role will ensure projects are secured and delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

The role oversees project estimating, governance, client engagement, commercial performance, and the development of high-performing project teams.

As a leader and mentor of people, you will coach and develop Project Managers, Coordinators, Engineers, Superintendents and Estimators across multiple sites, whilst ensuring the end-to-end maintenance execution plan is carried out to the highest of safety & quality standards, on budget and maximising client satisfaction to capitalise on future growth opportunities.

This role will be based in our Welshpool head office, with frequent site travel required to meet client and operational demand across our regional based projects.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

• Act as the senior point of contact for key clients and stakeholders.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with mining companies, contractors, and government agencies.
• Identify opportunities for repeat business and expansion of services.

Business Development

• Oversee market research and capitalise on industry knowledge & existing relationships to create tendering opportunities.
• Oversee estimating and proposals to deliver compelling tender submissions.
• Lead & oversee contract negotiation, and commercial agreements.
• Participate in all pre-contracts activities to secure work for handover to project execution teams.

Project Delivery

• Oversee the end-to-end delivery of projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company objectives.
• Establish and maintain robust project management frameworks, reporting structures, and risk management processes.
• Monitor progress against key milestones, budgets, and schedules, intervening where necessary.
• Commercial & Financial Management
• Ensure all projects achieve targeted margins and financial performance.
• Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting.
