About Us
Nitro Crushing is a Queensland-based provider of mobile crushing, screening, and conveying services. Established in 2007, we work with clients across the mining, quarrying, and civil sectors. We focus on delivering safe, efficient results using a dependable fleet and a practical, results-driven approach. Our team values hard work, clear communication, and practical experience. We focus on maintaining productive worksites and supporting our crews with what they need to deliver.
The Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced Mobile Crushing Operator to join our team in Far North Queensland. This is a casual role to start with, ideal for someone who's hands on, reliable, safety-conscious, and familiar with the demands of remote site work and mobile crushing operations.
For the right person who demonstrates consistent performance, strong work ethic, and commitment to safety, there will be opportunity to transition to full-time employment.
Reporting to the Site Supervisor, you'll operate and maintain crushing machinery, loaders, and excavators as part of a small, capable crew.
We have positions available on both a 10/4 or 2/1 roster with FIFO or DIDO options depending on your location.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate mobile crushing equipment, loaders, and excavators
- Carry out daily pre-starts, routine maintenance, and repairs (e.g. screen changes, wear parts, cone changes)
- Keep work areas clean and safe, including loading zones and conveyor areas
- Perform general labouring when needed — clearing blockages, shovelling, and basic site maintenance
- Communicate clearly with other operators and supervisors to meet production targets
- Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a safe and productive site environment
What We're Looking For
- Current open Australian driver's licence (required)
- Minimum 2 years' experience operating loaders and/or excavators in recycling, quarrying, or civil work
- Relevant VOCs or tickets for loader/excavator operations
- Practical experience around crushing equipment
- Good understanding of safety on remote work sites
- Physically fit and prepared to work in tough conditions
- A dependable team player with a strong work ethic and consistent attendance
What We Offer
- 10/4 or 2/1 roster — regular time off
- FIFO or DIDO options, depending on location
- Solid hourly rate, paid fortnightly
- Be part of an experienced crew that values hard work and clear communication.
- Consistent work with a stable, privately owned company
- Well-maintained plant and gear
