One of our partnered Host businesses who happens to be an Agricultural High School is offering a one-of-a-kind apprenticeship opportunity to work across expansive school grounds while earning a Certificate III in Parks & Gardens, a nationally recognised qualification.

We're seeking motivated individuals with a genuine passion for outdoor work, people who take pride in mowing, hedging, shovelling, whipper-snippering, and maintaining vibrant, well-kept school grounds. If you thrive in hands-on environments and love seeing the results of your hard work, this is your chance to turn that passion into a career.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Propagating, pruning, and caring for a wide variety of plants
  • Maintaining lawns, gardens, and landscaped areas
  • Identifying and managing pests and plant diseases
  • Operating horticulture equipment: mowers, edgers, irrigation systems
  • Practicing safe work methods and sustainable land care

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

To be considered, you must:

  • Be enrolled (or about to be enrolled) in a TAFE or equivalent training course in horticulture, greenkeeping, or animal husbandry
  • Show genuine energy and enthusiasm for parks & gardens
  • Have researched and understood the role and how it will benefit your apprenticeship journey
  • Hold a valid driver's licence
  • Have a White Card and Working With Children Check (WWCC)
  • Be physically capable of active, outdoor work
