About the role

Stahmann Webster is seeking a skilled Finance Systems Analyst to join its team. Reporting to the General Manager ICT, this role serves as a critical link between Finance, ICT, and external suppliers. The successful candidate will have deep expertise in ERP and financial reporting systems, a solid understanding of accounting fundamentals, and a proven ability to translate concepts between technical and financial stakeholders.

Working closely with internal teams and vendors, the Finance Systems Analyst ensures that finance business systems operate reliably and efficiently. They will lead the implementation of new systems and enhancements to existing platforms, driving continuous improvement and supporting strategic business outcomes.

Duties include but not limited to

  • Design, develop, and maintain financial reports.
  • Provide first-line support for finance business systems, including timely resolution of report discrepancies and system issues.
  • Proactively manage and optimise finance ICT systems, identifying and implementing opportunities to improve data accuracy, accessibility, and process efficiency.
  • Administer and maintain the chart of accounts and business rules within the ERP system, ensuring alignment with financial policies and reporting requirements.
  • Lead and deliver finance system improvement initiatives, collaborating with stakeholders to enhance functionality and user experience.
  • Support and coordinate system integrations and upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption and alignment with business needs.
  • Manage user access, authorisations, and delegations across finance and reporting systems, maintaining compliance with internal controls and security protocols.
  • Develop comprehensive training materials and deliver training sessions to end-users, promoting system adoption and proficiency.
  • Create and maintain a robust knowledge base, documenting processes, configurations, and troubleshooting guides for ongoing support and learning.
  • Ensure financial systems configuration and usage comply with company policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, translating technical concepts into business-relevant insights and recommendations.
  • Undertake additional duties as reasonably directed, contributing to team objectives and organisational success.
  • You may be asked to complete tasks that are not specifically listed in this position description, ensuring that they are reasonable and lawful.

Essential Criteria, Skills and Experience

  • Strong ERP experience.
  • Strong communicator and the ability to liaise between Finance, IT and Senior Leaders
  • Strong experience developing financial reports in Power BI using SQL.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Proven experience in a similar role, demonstrating expertise in both Finance and IT domains.
  • A proactive attitude and an ability to pick up processes quickly.
  • Ability to confidently work in both autonomous & team-based settings.
  • Australian Driver's Licence.

Desired

  • Professional accounting qualification (CA or CPA or equivalent)
  • Experience using SAP B1 and SAP Concur Online.
  • Experience using integration tools such as SSIS, Celigo, Dell Boomi or similar.
  • Experience in a scripting language such as Javascript, VB.Net or similar.
  • Experience in the agriculture industry.
  • Ability to travel for project work.

What You Should Know About Our Operations

Our business is widespread, growing walnuts, almonds and bees in the Riverina Region in New South Wales, pecans in Moree and macadamias, avocados and mangoes in Bundaberg, Queensland.

Off the paddock, we operate nut processing and packing facilities in Leeton, Toowoomba and Bundaberg as well as fruit packing and processing in Bundaberg. In addition, our shared services teams (Finance, Sales, ESG, Safety and People & Culture) are located across all of our sites as well as the Brisbane, Melbourne and Griffith offices.
