We are seeking a motivated and proactive Accountant to join our Project Finance team based in Brisbane. This role offers the opportunity to build strong connections across the business, including travel to site to engage with our operational teams.

Reporting to the Financial Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of project financials, while contributing to the overall success of our operations.

General tasks and duties include:

  • Preparing and submitting monthly project claims to clients, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Confidently managing the end-of-month (EOM) process, including GL reviews, accruals, and cost allocations.
  • Proactively leading finance hygiene by monitoring open purchase orders and supporting site administrators.
  • Analysing and reporting variances in expenditure and production metrics.
  • Preparing contracts, processing claims, and providing financial guidance to contract managers.
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders, including senior leaders and the Golding legal team, to support effective decision-making.

Personal attributes and experience:

  • Degree in Finance (or equivalent)
  • CPA/CA qualified, or currently studying towards
  • Previous accounting experience in a project-based business.
  • Advanced Excel and ERP system skills (SAP preferred).
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while building strong relationships with site managers and colleagues.
