Rockatoo is our bold new video and podcast studio in North Sydney and we're looking for a talented, creative, and action-oriented Videographer & Video Editor to bring big ideas to life through high-impact content.

Role Overview

We're seeking a passionate and technically proficient Videographer & Video Editor who can take charge of end-to-end video production — from concept to final cut. You'll work closely with our in-house creative team, podcast hosts, clients, and AI marketing platform to create content that is not only beautiful and brand-aligned but also strategically built for digital impact (YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.).

You'll be the heartbeat of our new studio — filming thought leadership clips, founder interviews, social content, promotional videos, and more.

Key Responsibilities


•   Studio & Field Filming: Operate cameras, lighting, audio, and studio equipment for in-studio and on-location shoots (corporate interviews, product showcases, events, etc.)


•   Video Editing & Motion Graphics: Edit raw footage into polished short-form and long-form videos, including dynamic text overlays, B-roll, music, sound design, and effects.


•   Podcast Video Production: Film, direct, and edit video podcasts, including multicam setups, audio syncing, and branded visual elements.


•   Content Repurposing: Edit long-form content into social-ready clips for TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn.


•   Creative Collaboration: Work with creative strategists, brand designers, and copywriters to deliver content that aligns with brand tone, goals, and formats.


•   File & Asset Management: Organise and maintain footage, templates, and project files in shared cloud storage systems.

You'll Thrive in This Role If You Have:


•   3–5+ years of experience in video production, content creation, or media agency environments.


•   Expertise with professional camera equipment (Sony, Canon, Blackmagic, etc.) and audio gear.


•   Advanced editing skills using Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and DaVinci Resolve.


•   Strong sense of pacing, narrative, typography, and modern video aesthetics.


•   A portfolio that shows diverse styles — from cinematic promos to snappy social edits.


•   Confidence in directing on set, managing shoot logistics, and working with non-professional talent (e.g. startup founders).


•   Strong organisational and file management skills — you're the kind of person who names your files properly.


•   A love for startup energy, tech, content, storytelling, and pushing creative boundaries.

Bonus Points If You Have:


•   Experience in podcast production (both video and audio).


•   Skills in colour grading and sound mixing.


•   Motion graphics or animation experience.


•   A knack for using AI tools to accelerate editing workflows.


•   Experience in social media content strategy or performance tracking.

Location & Setup

You'll be based at our new Rockatoo Studio in North Sydney. While much of your work will be on-site, some field shoots and remote editing flexibility is expected. Our space is designed to be a creative playground for creators — and you'll have the freedom to help shape it.
