The opportunity
As a
Senior Planner
you will report into the Project Controls Manager and work across one of our water and wastewater programs in the Energy & Utilities Business. Responsible for preparing, maintaining and monitoring schedules for the program and projects delivered under Build Better Together.
This full-time permanent role and will be based out of our client's office in Mango Hill with on-site parking available.
What you'll do
- Prepare resource and cost loaded detailed project delivery schedules, for allocated projects/work packages, using past construction knowledge and experience that accurately reflect the conditions of the contract, design and specifications.
 - Maintain and update the project master schedule, where applicable, incorporating subcontract schedules, to ensure appropriate execution of work package plans are completed as required.
 - Ensure compliance with Downer's standards and requirements as set by Utilities Performance Commercial & Risk Team, in terms of Schedule Quality and Change Management.
 - Perform delay analysis as needed by the Contract and support with suitable narrative.
 - Manage/ undertake, review and analysis of sub-contractor schedules to confirm alignment with good scheduling practice and Downer standards and requirements.
 - Assist in the development of project practices and procedures.
 - Undertake reporting requirements of internal and external stakeholders.

What we're looking for
- Degree or equivalent desirable in Engineering, Business Management, or Project Management preferred
 - Certifications/Competence on Primavera P6 Scheduling tool
 - At least 10 years prior Project Scheduling experience (preferable in water/wastewater/utilities)
 - A Project Management certification and Oracle DB Qualification would be highly advantageous
 - Previous commercial experience planning and scheduling for a portfolio of small and large projects using Primavera P6 (essential), Microsoft Project and associated systems
 - Advanced Excel Skills (essential)
 - Power BI knowledge and working experience (desirable)
 - Microsoft Visio knowledge and working experience (desirable)
