Acorn Stairlifts is the Australian division of the world's leading manufacturer and distributor of stairlifts to help elderly and disabled people with stairs in their homes. The home-care industry in Australia is currently going through a continued period of growth, making it a very attractive career choice. Acorn, as a leader in this field, continues to drive forward its growth throughout Australia. To support this growth and our further plans for the future, we are now looking to onboard a HR assistant to support our senior management team. This is a more junior role, so would suit someone looking to get a start in HR.

Qualifications & experience

  • Must have some current experience within a junior-level HR, Admin or Recruitment role
  • Great communication skills both written and verbal
  • Great attention to detail
  • Computer literate
  • Must be adaptable and ready for a challenge
  • Opportunity to learn, grow and develop

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Work along side the General Manager on all HR and recruitment issues.
  • Prepare and update employment contracts
  • Actively coordinate and participate in the team on-boarding process
  • Coordinate the complete recruitment process through initial telephone screening of candidates, booking interviews and performing reference checks
  • Respond to the day-to-day HR queries from our teams.
  • Provide management team with employment relations matters.
