Opportunity

This is an exciting and rare entry-level opportunity to establish a long-term career locally Oakey Beef Exports is one of Australia's largest and most advanced processing plants, offering diverse learning experiences, long-term career opportunities and large-scale resources

Working closely with our production teams and reporting directly to the Procurement Manager, your role will be to:

  • Receive, gain approvals and purchase goods requested by employees and managers;
  • Place orders with suppliers within deadlines to ensure items are kept in stock;
  • Monitor stock levels and order status, responding proactively to low stock and delays;
  • Provide prompt responses to suppliers regarding weekly scheduled deliveries;
  • Conduct weekly stock counts for production items and record stock movements; and
  • Collaborate with management and suppliers to forecast and order in alignment with lead times.

This position is based within our Main Office working Monday – Friday in Oakey, QLD.

While no experience is required, exposure to inventory control, ordering, GST and/or Microsoft Excel will be highly beneficial
