About the Division
The Strategy and Engagement Division manages and coordinates all executive government needs for QRA including Cabinet, Parliament and Executive Council liaison, correspondence, Queensland Reconstruction Board matters, stakeholder engagement, issues management, media and communications. Strategy and Engagement Division is also the creative hub for QRA and oversees key community awareness programs for the Queensland Government including Get Ready Queensland and the "If it's flooded forget it" campaign.
About the Role
Work with the Manager, Executive Services and Director, External Relations to ensure that effective engagement and communication is maintained between QRA and its key external stakeholders, taking lead accountability for liaison with QRAs supporting department, responsible Minister's Office and other state agencies.
Develop and deliver timely, high-quality reports, correspondence, briefs, briefing materials and other communications that convey QRA's position with clarity and impact.
Working across QRA to support organisational planning requirements such as managing the development of annual reports, strategic plans and other high-level documentation as required
Coordinate CEO and Ministerial meeting information, including the drafting of meeting packs, liaising with relevant stakeholders and coordinating briefing materials that highlight emerging issues or other current and relevant information.
Manage responses to incoming MP correspondence, caucus and department liaison requests, including liaising with subject experts for key information, developing responses and obtaining appropriate approvals within timeframes required.
Support and input to Cabinet submission processes for QRA, including drafting responses to policy requests and supporting development of cabinet submissions and associated materials.
Review QRA's communications, ensuring that it includes the appropriate analysis of issues and understanding of Government priorities.
Develop and maintain collaborative and productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, approaching engagement and communication from a perspective of enriching these relationships.
Provide feedback and advice to the Manager, Executive Services and Director, External Relations and General Manager in relation to any emerging trends or issues of concern with potential to impact QRA.
Abide by all relevant legislation, policies, procedures and guidelines.
This role reports to the Manager, Executive Services.
QRA's workforce is agile and ready to respond quickly to support disaster priorities. You may have the opportunity to undertake other temporary duties or work in alternative locations to support impacted communities.
