As Duty Manager, you will:

  • Take operational responsibility for the hotel in the absence of the General Manager.
  • Act as Approved Manager on Duty in line with liquor licensing requirements.
  • Work across all departments, with a strong focus on Front Desk and Food & Beverage.
  • Lead, support, and assist the team in a hands-on capacity.

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
  • Confidence to lead and guide the team across all hotel departments.
  • Previous hotel experience (Duty Manager or similar role preferred).
  • Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and remain calm in emergencies.
  • Professional presentation and high personal standards.
  • A natural ability to create authentic human connections with guests, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Passion for training, supervising, and motivating the team.
  • Opera Cloud experience highly regarded.

Key Requirements

  • Current (or ability to obtain) Approved Manager's Licence.
  • Current (or ability to obtain) Australian Driver's Licence.
  • Full, unrestricted working rights in Australia (sponsorship not available).
  • Flexibility to work a 24/7 rotating roster, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and public holidays.
