Associate Structural Engineer

Sydney | Hybrid Working | Leadership Role

The Role

As an Associate Structural Engineer, you'll lead the delivery of high-quality structural engineering projects across a diverse portfolio. With the support of the senior leadership team, you'll work closely with clients, architects and internal teams, providing technical direction and ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards. You will work alongside some of the industries very best engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Leading structural engineering design across high-rise residential, commercial, education and community projects
  • Overseeing project delivery, quality assurance, resourcing and client communication
  • Providing technical guidance to engineers and drafters, supporting their professional development
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and budgets
  • Reviewing and signing off structural design documentation, reports and calculations
  • Building strong client relationships and supporting business development
  • Driving continuous improvement, modern engineering practices and sustainability principles

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • 8+ years' experience in structural design across Australian building projects - residential mid-rise & high-rise experience is highly desirable
  • Strong technical ability across concrete & steel
  • Proficient with structural analysis and design software
  • Demonstrated project leadership experience and ability to mentor junior engineers
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging with clients
  • Chartered or working toward CPEng
