Precision Profile Cutting is seeking the services of an experienced CNC Profile Cutting Machine Operator

About the Role

Based in Henderson Western Australia. The primary duties of this role includes all aspects of CNC Plasma Profile cutting. This role is full time and overtime is required on a regular basis.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Program, nest, optimise and schedule cutting programs using CAD/CAM and Primecut software for internal production and external customer orders.
  • Collaborate with internal sales and customers to understand requirements and offer innovative solutions.
  • Liaise with the machine operator to ensure smooth and cost-efficient production.
  • Maintain tight stock control and plate records, including test certificates.
  • Identify upcoming material requirements and optimise production efficiency.

The successful candidate will hold the following skills and experiences:

  • 2D CAD Experience – be able to draw from hand sketches and PDF drawings.
  • Experience in nesting packages, experience in Primecut will be highly advantageous.
  • Operational knowledge of the Kinetic CNC Plasma machines (highly desirable.)
  • Experience in reading and interpreting engineering and technical drawings.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • Forklift ticket preferred but not essential
  • Be a pro-active team player with strong problem-solving capabilities
  • Have a positive attitude with hard work ethic
  • Has a high regard for Safety
