Senior Analyst - Economics (Clerk Grade 9/10)

These roles are ideal for experienced economists who can lead research and analysis projects, manage data sources and drive high-level economic and statistical analysis to inform policy and investment decisions. You'll work closely with stakeholders to maintain a strong evidence base which supports the activities of the Future Jobs and Investment Authority.

Key capabilities:

  • Deep understanding of macro and microeconomics.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and economic modelling.
  • Experience managing and interpreting large datasets.
  • Ability to communicate complex findings clearly.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement.

Analyst - Economics (Clerk Grade 7/8)

In these roles you will support the team with robust market and economic analysis, maintaining key datasets and contributing to research that informs the activities of the Future Jobs and Investment Authority. This is a great opportunity for early-career economists looking to make a meaningful impact.

Key capabilities:

  • Foundational knowledge of economic theory and statistics.
  • Ability to conduct market and industry research.
  • Familiarity with economic data sources (e.g. ABS, industry reports).
  • Strong written communication and reporting skills.
  • A collaborative and proactive approach to work.

For both roles we're seeking candidates with:

  • Tertiary qualifications in economics, commerce, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in economic analysis, modelling, and data interpretation.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
