Head Chef – Full Time | Greenmount Surf Club, QLD

Greenmount Surf Club is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Head Chef to lead our busy, progressive kitchen in a truly iconic beachfront location. This full-time role offers a competitive salary of $90,000–$100,000 + super, along with 5 weeks annual leave, daily meal allowance, company laptop, staff discounts, and a flexible rotating roster. You'll also enjoy being part of a supportive management team and committee, with opportunities for further training and upskilling through Clubs Queensland.

In this hands-on leadership role, you will oversee a 250-seat restaurant and takeaway café, managing and developing a skilled team of 10–15 kitchen staff. You will be responsible for menu design, specials, and accurate costing, while maintaining strong control over food costs, wages, stock, and rostering to meet and exceed KPIs. Ensuring consistently high food quality, presentation, food safety, and workplace standards will be central to your success.

This position is suited to a chef looking to make a long-term commitment, with a minimum of 10 years industry experience and 5 years at Head Chef or Senior Chef level in a high-volume quality operation. Strong leadership, communication, organisation, and a genuine passion for food and team development are essential.

The role includes evenings, weekends, public holidays, and shift work, and applicants must have the right to work in Australia or New Zealand.
