Vending Machine Filler / Attendant - Adelaide

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable, self-motivated, and physically fit Vending Machine Filler/Attendant to join our Adelaide team. This role is crucial to our operation, ensuring all vending machines across the designated region in Adelaide are consistently stocked, clean, and in excellent working order to provide the best customer experience. As this is a field-based role, a high degree of independence and excellent time management skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Vending Route Management:
  • Load, unload, and safely transport stock and equipment from the warehouse to various client sites across Adelaide.
  • Follow an efficient daily route schedule to service and replenish a portfolio of vending machines (snacks, drinks, coffee, etc.).
  • Clearing money from machines, accounting for cash collected, and accurately recording transactions.
  • Stock and Inventory Control:
  • Replenish vending machines with products, ensuring proper product placement and visual merchandising.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records for stock both on the vehicle and in the warehouse.
  • Identify and report product sales trends and stock requirements to the management team.
  • Monitor product expiry dates and ensure the removal of old or damaged stock to maintain freshness and quality.
  • Machine Maintenance and Cleanliness:
  • Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of the interior and exterior of all machines.
  • Conduct basic maintenance and minor repairs to machines, such as clearing jams or replacing worn parts.
  • Accurately record and report all maintenance and repair activities.
  • Liaise with technical staff for more complex machine faults.
  • Customer Service and Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with on-site client contacts.
  • Address any customer or client queries regarding the machines or products in a professional manner.
  • Keep the immediate vending area clean and tidy.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential:

  • Current and valid Australian Driver's Licence
  • Ability to follow a set route plan and manage time effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Physical fitness to handle repetitive lifting (stock boxes/products) and bending throughout the day.
  • Basic numeracy skills for cash handling, reconciliation, and inventory counting.
  • A strong commitment to accuracy and attention to detail.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in a route service, delivery, or logistics-based role.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and performing minor machine repairs.
  • Familiarity with using a hand-held device (PDA/tablet) for inventory and reporting.

Working Environment

  • This role involves significant travel across metropolitan and potentially outer Adelaide areas.
  • Work is often performed independently at various client sites (offices, factories, public spaces, etc.).
  • A standard work week is typically Monday to Friday; however, some roles may require early starts or occasional on-call shifts.

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $30.00 – $55.00 per hour
