Sunshine Coast, Australia Queensland Government Full time $94,415 per year

An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Physiotherapist, who will lead the provision of comprehensive rural generalist inpatient, emergency and outpatient physiotherapy services within Maleny Soldiers Memorial Hospital under the guidance of relevant Clinical Leads. Additionally, you will drive continuous improvement of Physiotherapy services through professional leadership and participation in quality improvement opportunities to ensure the region is delivering care consistent with professional standards aligned with the health service strategic priorities.

Sunshine Coast Health is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Physiotherapy service provision at Maleny Hospital includes services to the inpatient ward and Emergency Department. Your role may also include outpatient services. The role may involve the provision of Vestibular Assessments, this skillset is desirable but not essential for commencement.

Key Responsibilities include:

Deliver independent high level Physiotherapy clinical practice with infrequent need for direct clinical practice supervision. Exercise professional judgement to a complex caseload, adapting routine clinical practice based on valid and reliable evidence.

Provide high level clinical advice, education and influence towards a common patient-centred vision and direction to professional operational teams and relevant stakeholders regarding service delivery.

Provide leadership oversight and clinical practice supervision to less experienced Physiotherapy practitioners and students as delegated.

Remuneration value up to $94,415 p.a., comprising salary rates $ $69.55 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP4) (part time position, 45.6 hrs p.f.). Applications will remain current for 12 months. Please note: only applications from candidates will be accepted (applications that may result in an agency fee will not be considered).
