This role delivers high level paediatric physiotherapy clinical services to children and families who are clients of the multidisciplinary Child Development Service

The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Physiotherapist - Senior to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

  • Deliver high level paediatric physiotherapy clinical services including assessment, treatment and management of children
  • Provide high level clinical advice and consultancy within the spectrum of developmental issues pertaining to physiotherapy
  • Apply independent professional clinical judgement in providing clinical services of a complex nature
  • Provide services across the Gold Coast Health district with travel required between locations

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

  • Tertiary degree in Physiotherapy
  • AHPRA Registration
  • Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
  • Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
  • Driver Licence
  • Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
  • Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

  • Temporary part time (up to 29/03/2026 with possibility of extension, 45.6hrs p.f.)
  • Base salary ranging from $ $69.55 per hour

Physiotherapists are health professionals who assess and manage people with a range of motor skill issues across the lifespan. The Child Development Service is a multidisciplinary team that sits within Community Child Health under the Division of Women Newborn and Children's Health with Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service. The purpose of the Child Development Service is to clarify the reasons for a child's developmental problems through informal and formal assessments and offer therapy intervention as indicated.
