About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Supervisor or Assistant Manager to assist in leading and supporting our team. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll oversee core functions, ensure accuracy and compliance, and partner closely with both staff and clients.

You'll play a pivotal role in maintaining the efficiency of our operations while fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support, supervise and manage the team
  • Efficiently review and prepare individual, partnership, trust, SMSF and company income tax returns in accordance with Australian Taxation Office (ATO) requirements
  • Deliver consulting and advisory work, such as tax planning, management accounting analysis and preparation of budgets and forecasts
  • Drive process and system improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Partner with director to achieve business and financial goals
  • Liaise with clients to resolve queries and ensure outstanding service delivery
  • Meet with new and prospective clients to build relationships and support their onboarding journey

This is a full-time role based on 37.5-hour work week.

About You

You're an organised, approachable, and detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys leading people and improving systems. You thrive in a collaborative environment and take pride in delivering quality outcomes for both your team and clients.

You will bring:

  • Minimum 3 years' business services experience
  • Degree qualification in accounting
  • Fully qualified or near complete Chartered Accountant (CAANZ), or CPA with a strong grounding in accounting and tax compliance.
  • Experience with XPM, Xero, MYOB, Quickbooks, FYI Docs & BGL desirable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build client rapport
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
