About the role

We are seeking a Pool and Grounds Person to join our team at Swell Resort in Burleigh Heads, Queensland. This is a casual position where you will be responsible for maintaining the resort's pool and surrounding grounds to the highest standards. The role offers flexible work arrangements, allowing you to balance your work and personal commitments.

What you'll be doing

  • Regularly cleaning and maintaining the resort's swimming pools, including chemical treatment and filtration system upkeep
  • Ensuring the resort's outdoor and BBQ areas, including pathways and common spaces, are well-kept and presentable
  • Performing minor maintenance and repairs as required
  • Co-ordination of rubbish skips and bins throughout the Resort
  • Some Gardening skills required for the general presentation of Unit courtyards
  • Adhering to all relevant health and safety procedures
  • Early morning 6am starts with some weekend work on a rotational roster, hours per week

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience in pool maintenance and/or grounds keeping, preferably in a commercial or resort setting
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Have a friendly, professional demeanour
  • Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour tasks
  • Must have own transport and reliability is essential
  • Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations
