Your New Organisation

Your New Role

Out of a corporate restructure this newly created financial leadership position will be reporting directly to the CFO and managing a team of 4, including transactional/operational finance team and a professional accountant.  The CFO is operating at strategic level, so your role will have full financial control of the function including: finance operations, compliance, finance business partnering, financial systems, decision support, insights & analysis, treasury/banking, liaising audits, budgeting, governance, accounting policies & procedures, automation of transactional functions, and continuous improvement.

Your Profile

There are many financial professionals out there that could do the job.  The one we are after is a hands on self starter, who loves creating order from chaos and working with purpose.  You are a fixer, a doer, someone who sees opportunity from challenges.  You are a problem solver with a growth mindset.  You know what good looks like and are keen to up skill your team, drive improvements to create a first class finance function from a low base.  You've done this before and would love to do it again, you are a seasoned/proven financial leader with many examples of revamping finance functions, developing team members, and turning around finance departments.  

You enjoy having autonomy and working for a hands-off manager that backs you and lets you deliver, supporting when required, but often not in the room day to day - you can get on with what you do best.  You have delivered at least one end to end (selection through post implementation) accounting system upgrade or implementation with great success (on time, on budget, and delivered the improved result).  You are a qualified CA/CPA, with work rights in Australia, and keen for a longer term opportunity with a stable work history.
